Explore The Bucket List 〰️
I decided I wasn’t going to let my dreams die with me.
Not the quiet ones.
Not the inconvenient ones.
Not the ones that kept whispering, there’s more.
This page is my devotion to living while I’m still alive.
Some dreams I’ll cross off alone.
Some I’ll cross off with others.
Some require witnesses.
If something here wakes something in you,
you’re already part of it.

Turning “Someday” Into Now
In 2025, my mom’s life changed in an instant. A series of strokes left her completely dependent, unable to speak, move, or care for herself. She spent her entire life in a state of survival—worrying, giving, and putting everyone else first, raising seven children and putting her own dreams on hold. She never got to live the life she desired, and suddenly everything she had been was gone.
It all happened in a heartbeat. As I watched her lying there, completely dependent, helpless, and suddenly trapped in a body that could no longer hold her spirit, it broke my heart and shook me to my core. I felt a grief that cut deeper than I ever imagined.
And in that grief, a fire ignited inside me. I refused to let my life slip away while fear, obligation, or hesitation kept me from my own dreams. I refused to wait for someday. And so I began cataloging my bucket list. Every adventure I seek, every joy I claim, every dream I chase is my act of devotion to life itself. It is my promise to live fully, fiercely, intentionally, and to honor my mom and the women who came before me, who gave everything and never got to live the life she deserved.
This bucket list is my rebellion against unfulfilled years. It is my way of saying yes to myself, yes to joy, and yes to living while I still can.
My Why
This isn’t about adrenaline or proving anything.
It’s about honoring the parts of me that were told to be practical, patient, realistic, grateful.
The parts that learned to postpone joy.
Every entry here is a refusal to abandon myself. A practice of choosing aliveness over someday.
The top regret people have at the end of their life is not regretting something they did, it’s regretting something they didn’t do.
Who I Be
I’m Vy (Vee), the Creatrix behind JOIE DE VY.
I don’t want to be remembered for what I survived.
I want to be remembered for how fully I lived.
This is me saying yes before the moment passes.
Before the body forgets.
Before the dream quiets itself to keep the peace.
If you feel called to help bring one of these dreams into form,
through presence, partnership, resources, or simple belief—
I welcome you.
